Privacy Policy
RetailWorld, LLC (“RetailWorld,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information we collect in connection with our buying-group services (the “Services”). This Privacy Policy describes the categories of information we collect, how we use and disclose it, the rights available to you, and the safeguards we maintain. By using the Services, you consent to the practices described herein.
1.Scope
This Policy applies to applicants, approved Sellers, authorized representatives of Sellers, visitors to our website, and recipients of our communications. It does not apply to data handled by third parties under their own privacy policies, including our banking, payment, and identity-verification partners.
2.Information We Collect
You provide to us. Name; email and mailing address; phone number; business or DBA name; entity formation details; Employer Identification Number or Social Security Number (for tax reporting); government-issued identification (where required for KYC); bank account routing and account numbers (for ACH or wire payout); selling history and monthly volume; platforms you use; references; and any additional information you elect to submit.
We generate or collect automatically. Commitment activity, Scan events, commissions accrued and paid, balance history, device and browser metadata, IP address, authentication events, and portal usage telemetry.
We receive from third parties. Identity-verification results, sanctions and watchlist screening results, bank verification data (for account ownership), fraud signals, and carrier tracking data.
3.How We Use Your Information
We process personal information to (a) evaluate whitelist applications and onboard approved Sellers; (b) initiate and reconcile payouts; (c) compute, credit, and pay commissions and APY rewards; (d) comply with applicable law, including tax reporting obligations and anti-money-laundering requirements; (e) detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, unauthorized activity, and abuse; (f) operate, maintain, and improve the Services; (g) communicate with you about your Account; and (h) enforce our Terms and other contractual rights.
4.Legal Bases and Financial Privacy (GLBA)
Because we facilitate financial transactions, certain of your information may constitute “nonpublic personal information” under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (“GLBA”) and its implementing regulations. We limit the collection, use, and disclosure of such information to the purposes stated in this Policy, share it only with service providers subject to confidentiality obligations, and maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect it.
5.How We Share Your Information
We disclose personal information to:
- Service providers who process information on our behalf (e.g., banking partners, payment rails, identity-verification vendors, email and cloud infrastructure providers);
- Deposit and sweep partners, including JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. in connection with the J.P. Morgan Premium Deposit program;
- Tax authorities and regulators as required by law;
- Law enforcement when compelled by lawful process or where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, property, or safety;
- Successors in interest in connection with any merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
We do not sell personal information to third parties, and we do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct-marketing purposes.
6.Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember your preferences, authenticate sessions, and measure performance. You may control cookies through your browser; disabling certain cookies may impair portal functionality.
7.Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with our legal and regulatory obligations (including tax recordkeeping, which typically requires seven years), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods may be extended where required by subpoena, litigation hold, or applicable regulation.
8.Security
We employ reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, least-privilege principles for our personnel, and periodic security reviews. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9.Your Choices and Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we maintain about you; object to certain processing; restrict processing pending a verification review; and receive a portable copy of information you provided to us. To exercise these rights, email info@retailworld.net. We will verify your identity before honoring requests and will respond within the time frame required by applicable law. Certain information must be retained for legal, financial, or fraud-prevention purposes and is not subject to deletion.
10.Residents of California, Texas, and Other States
Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional rights under state privacy law, including Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (“TDPSA”), California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) as amended, and similar laws. We honor applicable rights to know, correct, delete, and opt out of certain processing. We do not engage in the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the CCPA.
11.Children
The Services are not directed to children under the age of eighteen (18), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from such individuals. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
12.International Users
RetailWorld operates in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you acknowledge that your information will be processed in the United States, where privacy protections may differ from those of your jurisdiction.
13.Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time by posting a revised version on our website and updating the “Effective” date. Material changes will be communicated through the portal or by email.
